Bound by Wellington Street South on the east to James Street South on the west and from Main Street East on the north to the Niagara Escarpment on the south, Corktown is one of the original four Hamilton neighbourhoods. Home to the Hamilton GO Station, St. Joseph's Hospital, and the pub district of Augusta and Young Streets, Corktown is a true downtown community. Multi-floor dwellings of the neighbourhood are responsible for much of Hamilton’s skyline; however, among these high rises are Victorian era residences that help Corktown retain its old world nuances, serving as a reminder of Hamilton's early Irish settlers that lived here and worked on the Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo Railway (TH&B). The Corktown Neighbourhood Association is a non-profit volunteer based neighbourhood organization serving the Corktown neighbourhood. Our mission is to engage residents in community stewardship, foster a sense of neighbourhood pride, and cultivate community connections. The Corktown NA has established a Terms of Reference to guide our organization, roles, responsibilities, terms, commitment, and eligibility. Our Code of Conduct outlines the proper practices for executive members.

Our Sponsors

We invite you to make a difference by becoming a sponsor. Your support will help continue our efforts in organizing neighbourhood events such as Halloween in Shamrock Park, support our volunteer efforts to clean and enhance neighbourhood parks, and cover costs associated with our website, flyers, public notices, and the open meetings that keep neighbours informed about issues that affect our community. Sponsoring the Corktown NA is also a great way to reach our residents, a customer base of thousands that are eager to eat, shop, conduct business, and access services in our neighbourhood. All sponsorships are valid for the calendar year (January 1 – December 31) and can be prorated depending upon the start date. Please email us for all directory related inquiries or donate by using this link.
